Coal India Ltd (CIL) is a holding company in India. The Company is a coal mining enterprise, that is engaged within the production and sale of coal. The Company offers products, which includes Coking Coal, Semi Coking Coal, Non-Coking Coal, Washed and Beneficiated Coal, Middlings, Rejects, Coal Fines/Coke Fines, and Tar/Heavy Oil/Light Oil/Soft Pitch. Its Middlings are utilized in power generation, brick manufacturing gadgets and cement plants. The Washed and Beneficiated Coal merchandise are used within the production of hard coke for steel making and generating power. Its Semi Coking Coal merchandise are used as mixture-in a position coal in metal making, service provider coke production and other metallurgical industries. Its Non-Coking Coal products are used for cement, fertilizer, glass, ceramic, paper, chemical and brick production, and for other heating purposes. CIL operates thru about 82 mining areas spread over 8 provincial states of India.
